2026 Systematic Review & GRADE Analysis Workshop
Join the 8-week interactive Systematic Review Workshop, led by experts, where you will gain comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in:
- conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis of efficacy of treatment,
- a clinimetric review of measures, and/or
- a review of diagnostic criteria for a clinical area.
Meta-analysis and GRADE methods will also be included in the training for a transparent approach to rating the certainty of evidence and developing healthcare recommendations.
The Systematic Review Course has been successfully conducted at the University of Queensland QCPRRC annually for the past 18 years. The aims of the course is to conduct a systematic review and to proceed to publication. The course has lead to >100 publications between Professor Roslyn Boyd (course leader) and Professor Rob Ware (Professor of Biostatistics).

GRADE Analysis: one-day workshop on 24 April 2026 (week 7)
8.30am – 12.30pm, Fridays, AEST
The Systematic Review workshop will be held on Fridays, 8.30am – 12.30pm for 8 weeks (Australian Eastern Standard Time) – please note the break in between weeks 1 and 2 and weeks 4 and 5 for workshop participants to work on their topic search and drafting review paper.

- 20 February 2026 – Week 3: Measuring Quality for Reporting, PEDro,
- 27 February 2026 – Week 4: Clinimetric Systematic Reviews; Biostatistics pt. 1 (measures of reproducibility), COSMIN II
BREAK: 6 March 2026, 13 March 2026, 20 March 2026, 27 March 2026, 3 April 2026
- 10 April 2026 – Week 5: Biostatistics pt. 2 (RCTs, statistical inference, continuous outcomes & binary outcomes)
- 17 April 2026 – Week 6: Meta analysis including Network Met-analysis and Individual Patient Meta- analysis
- 24 April 2026 – Week 7: GRADE Analysis (one-day workshop)
- 1 May 2026 – Week 8: Clinical Practice Guidelines; Getting Published

- The Workshop is delivered and recorded via Zoom technology – please ensure you have Zoom available.
- For workshop effectiveness, please ensure you have access to your local library for a range of literature databases for your research/review topic.
